NEW YORK - September 8 2022Record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a four percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is a 13% improvement from 2019. It is so thrilling to witness a new increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers of 2019 said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the outbreak of COVID-19 that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are thrilled to witness this change and are expecting an upward trend that will continue for months, and possibly years. נווה פריצקי Just like the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourism numbers in Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 , and 6,600 in August. Israel welcomed more tourists from all over the world during 2019 than any other country. 969 600 of them were American. Israel's official opening for all tourists was in May of 2018. Israel has been home to more than 600,400 US travellers since that time.
